Essex Chef Robert Pearce was crowned with the title of Top Chef at the Essex Life Fine Food & Drink Awards (www.essexfada.co.uk) on Saturday night.

The award is the second Pearce, Head Chef of Orsett Hall’s has claimed in only two years after being awarded the title Chef of the Year at the Essex Hospitality & Tourism Awards in 2013.

Mr Peace said: “It is an amazing feeling. I have a good team around me here and we all work very hard creating innovative dishes using new techniques, whilst striving for the highest quality but keeping things simple and using fine quality ingredients.”

A spokesman for Orsett Hall said: “This is a great achievement for Rob as not many Chefs have won both awards and Rob is only 28 years old.”

The Orsett Hall has also launched a new Garden Brasserie with new Brasserie style menu, where Mr Pearce has promised “exciting dishes as well as recreating traditional recipes with a new twist.”
