Sanjay Kumar, a chef from Newquay, has written a recipe book for Cooks on a budget. Whether you are in the public sector or the private, you know that all those recipe books somehow forget to cater for people with a tiny budget of £2 per head or perhaps even less!
“My festive recipe booklet aims to inspire, educate and train people to create meaningful, nutritious feasts out of limited resources” explains Sanjay.
Sanjay previously worked for the King of Saudi Arabia and Raymond Blanc before settling in Cornwall, where alongside his fulltime chef job he also runs Pop Up Pies – promoting the history of traditional Cornish food where participants prepare their own modern take of the classics of the region.
