A pork rib-eye steak with a fruity marinade has won the BPEX Pork Product of the Year award. Derbyshire-based catering butcher Owen Taylor & Sons beat competition from 18 other products due to its succulent, locally-sourced and value-for-money meat. Richard Taylor, managing director of the winning company, is pictured with the accolade.
Heinz
Heinz is handing out a host of prizes this summer as part of a new campaign. The first 3,000 independent caterers and Heinz buyers to call its customer care team will win a table-top caddy of ketchup and salad cream, among other classics, while hundreds of paring knives, picnic sets and Sabatier carving sets will also be up for grabs.
