PAUL Hollywood and Mary Berry will have their cake and eat it in the battle of the Christmas cookbooks.

In a market worth more than £20million, The Great British Bake Off‘s official recipe guide is the biggest seller so far. But Paul’s Pies and Puds is second and Bake Off co-host Mary Berry has THREE titles in the top 10.

Nigel Slater is third and ex-pub chef Tom Kerridge is in the mix with Proper Pub Food in fourth. Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein are fifth and sixth, while The Hairy Dieters are eighth. Heston Blumenthal’s £75 book does not make Tesco’s list.

Tesco said Bake Off had “helped create the biggest baking revival in decades”.
