COTWOLD curry king Indunil Sanchi has been named Curry Pub Chef of the Year for the third year running.
The head chef at The Noel Arms Hotel, based in Chipping Campden, has scooped up the award yet again while showcasing yet another of his fantastic curries.
His journey started in his home country of Sri Lanka, where he first trained as a chef in a Chinese restaurant at the age of 17 before taking his dishes across the world.
He settled in the Cotswolds with his family in 2009 and was first named curry chef of the year for his Sri Lankan Black Lamb dish a year later. He retained his title for a second year in 2011 with a Ceylon-style Seafood Yellow curry, and has now completed the hat-trick, this time with a Ceylon-style Yellow Chicken curry.
He said: “I am very pleased to win it again. I always try to something different for each dish.”
